Super smash

Pulse racing fast, knowing one wrong move can take you out of the game. Eyes were glued on Mr. White’s smartboard as the gaming club finished up their Super Smash brothers tournament.

Playing the famous Nintendo game Super Smash Bros. 17 members of the gaming club competed Wednesday Dec. 17, for a prize.

Winner  senior Roger Sandoval used the well known character, Diddy Kong to smash his way to victory.

“He’s fast you know,” Sandoval said. “Plus he is like really fun to play with. He’s my guy.”

Sandoval won bragging rights, along with other small gifts.

“He actually won a gift card for the movie theater and a patch of sour patch kids,” tournament manager senior Juan Escobedo said.

The gaming club meets every Friday at 4:15 and is open to anyone who wants to join. Just bring any game you want to play and prepare to play.

“Game on,” Sandoval said.
