After no scores for either team in the first quarter, the Falcons crushed the second quarter and scored 21 points while the Patriots only got three.

The third quarter consisted of an equal battle between both teams leaving six more points to the Patriots and seven to the Falcons.

The New England Patriots noted their defeat but they were not going to accept that in the fourth quarter.

Thanks to Tom Brady, 19 points were scored by the Patriots and none by the Falcons.

The score ended up being 28-28, leading to go into the first an overtime period in Super Bowl history.

In overtime, the New England Patriots scored six points, leading them to the teams’ fifth victory.

Afterwards, Tom Brady was awarded his 4th Super Bowl MVP title.

Now, the Super Bowl isn’t just about the football, the other two major and popular things include the halftime show and the commercials.

The cost of a 30-second commercial this Super Bowl was $5.02 million.

Some of the most popular being from KIA, Airbnb, Mr.Clean, Budweiser, WIX.com, and Skittles.

The theme of many of the advertisements this year involved national and political news as well as reminding people to “Believe in Yourself” (Honda) or live a #MoreInspired life (Lifewatr) apart from previous years where commercials are mainly consisting humor.

We also got a preview for season two of The Netflix Original Series Stranger Things.

For the halftime show, Lady Gaga performed “God Bless America”, “This Land Is Your Land”, “Poker Face”, “Born This Way”, “Million Reasons” and “Bad Romance”.

The show included 300 LED drones, her being hung from the sky, and a choreographed audience with light-up props.

She ended an amazing and jam-packed performance by finishing it off with her dropping the mic and jumping off a staircase prop.

Overall, the 2017 Super Bowl was very eventful and full of surprises compared to other years.

Congrats to the New England Patriots for their 5th Super Bowl win and Tom Brady on his 4th MVP title.
