COVID-19 Testing Available on Campus

With the new COVID-19 variant Omicron rapidly spreading around Bexar County and the dwindling of test appointments, one smart way to stay safe is to use the school clinic as a way to get tested for Covid-19.

The clinic is offering free testing on campus for all students and staff, the only things that are required to get tested are you have to either be older than 18 or have parental consent if you are under 18.  School R.N. Mrs. Ochoa requested that appointments be made at least a day before to get tested due to the number of people wanting to get tested.

“We are definitely seeing an increase in cases on campus,” Ochoa said. “But thanks to the CDC guidelines of quarantine only being five days it has helped the attendance issues. Wear your mask, wash your hands, and keep your distance to stay safe on campus.”

Testing is done in the school clinic, A-wing first floor just across from the library main entrance. Rapid tests are also available to students and employees at North East Sports Park on a first-come-first-served basis.
