Merry Potluck

Christmas time, a time to spread fun and joy to all. What better way to do that then by hosting a potluck? Language arts threw a potluck on Dec. 12 at the cafeteria and the chorale choir had one on Dec. 13 at the Performing Arts Center.

“Seeing all the children interact and getting together with all the clubs was nice,” said Spanish teacher Maria Zapata.

The three largest language clubs in the school, Spanish, German and French combined together for the ‘Christmas Around The World’ potluck. Each club inserted their fellowship by bringing in cultural dishes and performing Christmas carols in their foreign language.

“There was plenty of food from all different cultures and we got to be together and the singing was great,” German teacher Arleen Torres said.

In a busy choir schedule filled with concerts, rehearsals and a musical, the choir directors decided to reward chorale for their hard work.

“This is a time for us to have fun and relax,” choir teacher Edie Cooksey said. “To take a break from any work or interviews.”
