Serving Up Brahmas

With a final point scored, the volleyball team took home their first district win against MacArthur on September 12. The team was very happy about the win but they weren’t too pleased about the number of games it took to bring home the win.

“I felt like it was unnecessary to go into 5 with Mac,” junior Gabriella Rodriguez said.

The team may have brought home a win but they want to improve on skills they’ve struggled with the whole season. Many were disappointed with their lack of communication on the court.

“We tend to shut down when we’re tired,” junior Jalissa Ransom said. “But we can push through that as a team.”

However, the coaches and players believe they significantly improved throughout the season so far.

“Every time we are on the floor we are improving,” Coach Shannon Wolfe said.” Any time we are on the court our passing gets better and our communication gets better. Every game we play works towards the championships.”

Along with the MacArthur win, the team played Lee this past Tuesday and won in three to take home their second win of district. Volleyball plays Reagan this Friday at Reagan Gym.
