New movies are being released this week and in the following weeks. Here’s what is coming our way.

Birds Of Prey is coming out Friday, February 7th. As of now, the DC extended universe (DCEU) as made many flops such as Suicide Squad, Batman versus Superman, others but as of now the only movies out that haven’t failed were Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy, Superman 1978, Wonder Woman, and newly made Joker. Birds Of Prey features Harley Quinn, that is, Joker’s girlfriend (Margot Robbie). She is on her own in this feature as she joins new forces with other vigilantes.

Graidyn Bowe looks forward to enjoying new cinematic offerings with popcorn and treats.

Sonic The Hedgehog comes out on Valentines Day, February 14th, 2020. When the first trailer played, many people disliked how Sonic looked because he didn’t look like his cartoon or video game version of him. But months later, the studio changed Sonic’s look and now everyone loves him. The movie has Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic and Jim Carrey as Dr. Ivo Rebotink. The movie will take place in our world seeing Sonic stopping Dr. Rebotink from stealing his powers and trying to save his new friends as well.

A Quiet Place Part 2 comes out on March 20th, 2020. It is the sequel to The Quiet place which was loved by many reviewers and the audience. John Krasinski returns as the director for Part 2, directing his wife Emily Blunt and the young actors as well. The new installment has them leaving their old home and finding a mysterious man. Like the first movie, there will be as little dialogue as the first.

Mulan comes out on March 27th, 2020. Mulan is one of the best female empowerment movies Disney has ever made and this re-make is a live-action version.
Black Widow comes out on May 1st, 2020. The first Marvel movie to come out in 10 months and the second female superhero movie since Captain Marvel. It stars Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow who has her fighting her pass. This could be Disney’s cash cow for their first movie for 2020.

There are several decent movies coming our way. Try to see one and support our local movie theater industry.
