Design Club

The club was founded in 2014 shortly after Guillermo Sanchez joined the STEM Academy.  Mr. Sanchez has severed as the Design Club sponsor for 5 years and plans   to continue to be its as sponsor indefinitely.

Currently, the club has 36 students, and the meetings take place on Mondays after school, from 3:40 to 4:30 pm, Fridays mornings from 7:45 to 8:15 am, and Friday after school from 3:40 to 4:30 pm.

This club allows students to experience real competitions and work for various exhibitions.

Students are expected to attend  all meetings and after school activities. Each activity a student joins or goes to they gain points for an end of the year field trip. Unfortunately, the last day for registration was October 10th.

Design Club is art and design centered with real-world applications  which teach skills to prepare members for future design opportunities.

While in the club, students experience making stickers , t-shirt designs and digitally printed poster, etc. This club offers real work training and experience for students. While they create amazing and unique designs.

Design club is preparing for competitions and art exhibits such as Art Pace’s annual Chalk It Up, Fire Prevention Poster Composition 2018, Muerto Fest 2018, Arts and Writing Scholastic National Competition, Night Gallery 2019, Jr. Vase 2019, Doodle for Google 2018 and many many more!
