Groundhog’s Day is celebrated on February 2nd. It is only celebrated in the United States and Canada. Groundhog’s day determines when Spring arrives. Crazy huh? A groundhog is watched emerging from its burrow. If he sees a shadow due to clear weather, it will retreat to its den. It is said that when this happens Winter will continue for six more weeks. If the groundhog does not see his shadow, Spring will arrive early.
