Flowers say, “What?”

Why do we give gifts for Valentine’s Day?

Most people give their loved one flowers on Valentine’s Day, and there are traditional meanings connected to the flowers.

-The red rose symbolizes love and romance.  It’s a symbol of passion for many cultures, a way to say, “I love you.”

=The white rose symbolizes true love.  When you get a white rose, someone is telling you, “I am the one for you.”

-A yellow and red tip rose symbolizes falling in love.  These roses says, “I’m falling in love with you.”

There many more flowers, each with its own meaning.  You can google to find out more or them.

If you don’t get flowers on Valentine’s Day, you will probably get chocolates and/or stuffed animals.  Chocolate symbolizes love and commitment.  Stuffed animals stand for… Well, for…  Well, they’re just so darn cute!
