As most of you know Barack Obama was the forty-fourth president of the U.S.A. His term lasted for 8 years, from January 20, 2009, to January 20, 2017. His first term was from 2009 to 2012, and his second term was from 2013 to 2017 He was the first African-American president in U.S. history.
President Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 4, 1961. For college he moved to L.os Angekes to go to Occidental College. For his junior year he went to Columbia University in New York City. He ended his higher education at Harvard University. He was a member of the Illinois Senate from the 13th district when he became the U.S State Senator for Illinois. Barack Obama remained a senator until he became president of the U.S.A.
When the Supreme Court decided to legalize same sex marriage Obama completely supported the idea. He also won a Nobel Peace Prize for Courage in 2017
