National Freedom Day was celebrated on Friday, February 1, 2019. It is a day set aside to remember and honor the proposition abolishing slavery and involuntary servitude, except as punishment for a crime. The proposition became the 13th Amendment to the United States Constitution.
I think more people need to know about this day. Perhaps we should even make it a national holiday. Thank you, Jazzy, for calling our attention to it.
