International Earth Day is an annual event celebrated on April 22. Worldwide various events are held to demonstrate support for environmental protection.
Earth day was first celebrated in 1970, it now hold events for almost 200 countries. In 1969, Earth Day was originally supposed to be celebrated on March 21.
You can do many things to help the Earth. Here are some of the things you can do to help.
1. Walk, Bike or Take Public Transportation
Instead of driving cars and motorcycles, try walking outside. Take a nice stroll in the park.
2. Do Yoga Outdoors
Exercise outside, instead of doing nothing.
3. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Instead of using plastic items use reusable things that are washable and will last a while, like metal spoons.
4. Use A Reusable Cup
Buy a cup that is able to be reused and will last for years. Don’t use a cup that can be thrown away easily.
5. Use Less Electricity
When leaving a room turn off the lights and don’t keep things on if you won’t use them.
6. Unplug The TV
Unplug the TV and go outside, enjoy nature, and breathe the fresh air.
7. Make a Garden
Buy seeds from a store or use the ones from fruit and other plants you’ve eaten.
8. Use Earth-Friendly Products
Don’t use plastic bags, cutlery, or things that will harm Earth. Instead use things that won’t affect it and won’t end up in landfills.
9. Use Tote Bags
Instead of plastic bags that are thrown away and will harm Earth, use a reusable tote bag when buying things.
10. Be A Vegetarian For A Day
Try to eat vegetables and salads for a day, not junk food, drink only water not soda.
