Farris Joins Faculty, Coaching Staff

Mr. Farris teaches World History as well as coaches varsity football.

Some call him Coach Farris, others call him Mr. Farris, but not many refer to him as Blake Farris. This is his first year at Reagan and he is feeling welcomed.

This is Farris’s 18th year as a teacher and coach. He started out as part of the faculty in the first year of Northside ISD’s Jordan Middle School.

After spending two years at Jordan MS, he transferred to Marshall Highschool for another two years, coaching football and track. His career has also consisted of five years at Clark High School and nine years at O’Connor High School, also coaching track.

When he isn’t Coach Farris, he is Mr. Farris teaching social studies. He has taught U.S history and world history.

Then we meet Blake Farris, a man with a wife and two kids.

“I like to spend time with my family,” Farris said.

His wife is a flight attendant for Delta Airlines, and his kids attend Barbra Bush Middle School and Stone Oak Elementary.

Coach Farris is now a new coach and teacher at our own school. He currently coaches varsity football and teaches world history.

“I am very excited about being at Reagan,” Farris said.  “The students, athletes, and the faculty have been very friendly.”
