All over the world, guns are in use. They are the embodiment of both protection and harm. However, it seems that in today’s day and age, self-control is no longer as relevant as it once was. Today, people do whatever they want, however they want, whenever the want, with no thought to the others that may get harmed in the process.
Yes, America is built upon the foundation that every American citizen has the right to bear arms. If they want to have guns, they can. But should the people be entrusted with this sort of privilege if they are abusing it? When the people no longer can see clearly as a whole, shouldn’t it be the government’s job to clear up the fog of relentless violence that impends to bring the complete downfall of the whole human race?
Our country has a clear future in sight: an immediate plunge, if the constant uncontrollable grasp upon guns continues. And though it is unfortunate that many people who only have these weapons for personal safety reasons, or non harmful purposes, have to pay for the price for those who are using them for excessive reasons, it is something that needs to be overlooked for a better society as a whole. Clearly, sacrifices will be needed to make this work, as is with anything.
But just because the country needs a tighter rein upon guns does not mean that in the future those very boundaries will be lifted.
The situation is getting completely out of hand. It’s truly depressing, but when such a large number of people’s lives are at stake, measure need to be taken in order to ensure the safety of others. So it’s not just about you, it’s about the whole world. And if one person has the power to help save the world, shouldn’t they be willing to sacrifice just about anything?
