Various Roosevelt High School faculty members, club sponsors, and administrators were available to welcome parents and future Roughriders during Course Fair 2010 on Oct 18. Course Fair is an annual event held at RHS to showcase the very best things the campus has to offer for prospective students. Teachers spent several hours working on displays that would attract attention and the crowds responded with various smiles and positive gestures.  Props used to attract future participants included science experiments, hats from various parts of the world, artistic displays, a full-length skeleton on a hospital cart ready to have his or her blood drawn, and the ultimate magnet…free food. Counselor Rose Garcia opened the evening with a welcoming address to parents in the auditorium and then the visitors were ushered into the cafeteria and first floor of Roughrider Hall to see each of the booths and visit with teachers. For several parents, it was their first time visiting the campus and the presenters made their first impression of RHS a memorable one.
