From monsters and ghosts to angels and demons, Supernatural on the CW network has just hit the mid-season finale of its ninth season, and has yet to disappoint.

Released on Sept 13, 2005, Supernatural is an American horror/drama television series.

The show is now a nine-season series that was created by Erik Kripke; who recently created the NBC TV series Revolution. Starring in Supernatural are Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles who play two brothers that travel the US hunting the paranormal and saving people. Padalecki, a San Antonio native, has had many previous roles including a major one in the ABC family TV series Gilmore Girls. Ackles has also had a very fruitful career in the industry; including his major role in the NBC TV daytime soap opera Days Of Our Lives. Supernatural airs on the CW network Tuesdays at 8 p.m. The show can get a little frightening but it is also very family oriented.

Sam (Jared) and Dean (Jensen) Winchester are two brothers who have spent their entire life on the road first with their father and now with only each other. They have gone through almost nine seasons of surprises, and plot twists that not even a psychic could predict. From stopping the apocalypse to searching for God himself,
Sam and Dean have always looked out for one another; even when they were separated. They have their moments when they want to kill each other; possessed or not, but what pair of siblings don’t? All arguments aside they also have those heart-wrenching moments that make you want to call those annoying siblings of yours, and apologize for all the bickering.
The writers of the show have completely outdone themselves. With Dean’s lovely sarcasm, and Sam’s ability to stay the baby brother they factor in every possible feeling that a viewer can have into this nine-season series. Of course the directors and the actors are what bring it all to life which as well has amazing quality. The directors are able to get spotless shots, and bring the actors to their full potential.

With the show returning on January 14, 2014, it is a definite must watch whether it is just to get a taste of the show, or to continue watching the hour spent will not be a disappointment.
