Groups unite for Global Youth Service Day

On Saturday, seven different student groups worked with City Year to decorate the fence at the front of the school and show school pride to the neighborhood.

It was all part of Global Youth Service Day, which tries to mobilize youth to identify and address the needs of communities through service to  to improve themselves and their communities.

More than 40 students from HOSA, Student Council, ROTC, AVID, Athletics, Sports Medicine, and GSA all made signs to be displayed in the front of the school.

“It was a time for students to really step up and showcase their school spirit, and I believe that each and everyone in attendance really achieved that goal,” organizer Cameron Ervin-Dillard said.
