Celebrate Library Week with Fine Forgiveness

By Francine Marroquin |

Calling out to all bookworms and fellow book readers alike in the school and the community. This week celebrates National Library Week.

Have any overdue book fees? Head down to the Molly Pruitt Library here at  by April 18 and ask a library associate about “Fine Forgiveness”. Mention that you have late fees and the late fees will be waived and you don’t have to pay for them. You’re essentially getting money put back into your pocket just by confessing to your overdue obligations. This “forgiveness” only applies to books that are checked out on the Roosevelt side of the library and not the San Antonio side. The school will forgive you for turning your books in late but not the city.  Also, if you have lost a Roosevelt library book and want to try to be forgiven for your fines, this does not apply to you. You still need to pay for the book you have misplaced. Take advantage of this forgiveness while you can. National Library Week will soon come to an end.

The library is open on Friday, April 18.
