Athletic boosters prepare for 40th annual dinner

On Thursday Sept. 25 the athletic booster club is holding their 40th annual sausage fundraiser dinner in the cafeteria to raise money for the athletic program.
“It is the only fundraiser of our booster club we have for our athletics programs so what ever we generate through that one fundraiser we use for the entire athletics department,” head coach Matt Carroll said.
The fundraiser, which includes the plate sale and a silent auction, is projected to bring in thousands of dollars before expenses. There is not really a percentage of money that goes to each sport. It’s a need-ask basis, Carroll said.
All athletes sell the tickets because everything that they make is going back towards their athletic programs.
The coaches smoke the sausages and keep it running until after the freshman team comes back from Reagan and grab their plate, and they will close it off when every one gets their plate.
Plates are $7 per ticket and dinner will be served from 5:00 until 8:30 p.m.
