As the swimming season comes to end, we had a total of eight people place in our district meet on Jan. 30 and 31 and swim at the region meet on Feb. 6 and 7.

Four boys and four girls placed in a relays district and meets.

“It feels really good to be recognized and be able to have competed against other teams that are bigger than us, in both districts and regionals,” said Vanessa  Monsivais.

Liliana Miller, Evelyn Kuhel, Marissa Gonzales and Monsivais placed sixth for the 200 Medley Relay at districts and 23rd at regionals. The same girls all also placed sixth at district for the girls 200 free relay and 21st at regionals.

Over all Austin Franke, Kevin Malcolm, Adam Marciniak and Jouse Dominguez placed sixth at district and 19th at regionals in the relay.

The same boys and Noah Richard placed sixth in the 200 free relay at district.

“It feels good to have placed in regions and that all my hard work had paid off during the season,” said Austin Franke.
