Profile: Gnospelius talks hockey, sarcasm

Alan Gnospelius’s career first began before he started teaching.

Gnospelius played hockey in high school and college.

“I’ve ice skated since I was four years old,” he said.

Now that he doesn’t play, Gnospelius officiates hockey games as he is a hockey referee.

“Stay out of the way and get hit by a hockey puck, not fun,” he said.

He also enjoys playing golf and considers himself a great cook.

Gnsopelius describes himself as a life long learner, fair and very funny.

“I have the best sarcasm in the school,” said Gnospelius.

He has three degrees which include one in geology, one in science education and one in physics.

Ever since he graduated from Boston University, he has taught science and currently teaches physics for DATA .

“He’s the best science teacher I’ve ever had,” said James Singleton. “His class is great, I look forward to being in it everyday.”
