Track advances athletes to area

Sophomore Ayleen Carrizales will represent the girls track team at area for high jump.
Five individual track and field athletes as well as the 4 x 400 team are advancing to area this week.
Sophomore Ayleen Carrizales and junior Tommy Mills advance for high jump, sophomore Joshua Morgan advances for long jump, sophomore Wyatt Royder advances for pole vault, and sophomore Bryson Carroll advances for the 100 meter dash. The 4 x 400 relay team, composed of senior Israel Sanchez, junior Noah Silvas, senior Chris Johnson and junior Christian Ritter advanced as well.

“I wouldn’t have done it without my coaches and teammates,” Carrizales said.
Field events will be at 4:30 and 6 p.m. at Gustafson Stadium on Thursday. Running events will be Friday afternoon at Gustafson.
