From April 16 to 26, the city of San Antonio held its annual spring festival celebrations.

The ten-day event featured events including Fiesta Carnival, Fiesta de Cascarónes, Fiesta San Fernando, NIOSA and others.

Throughout the entire celebration there were rainy times, but towards the last days, Fiesta was enjoy with bright sunny days.

As Friday April 24 was a holiday, this gave teachers and students a chance to visit the Battle of Flowers Parade.

“I really liked the Battle of Flowers Parade, it was entertaining and enjoyable,” Sophomore William Gamez said.

At Fiesta, locals and visitors were able to enjoy different types of music, food, and culture.

Foods including those with a variety of origins were available.

Gorditas, tacos, sausage, cotton candy, and funnel cake were only a few of many foods seen.

With this being the 124th anniversary of the celebration, the Fiesta sensation was felt throughout the entire city.

People were also able to purchase gifts, including dresses, hats, earrings, shirts, and the well known Mexican coronas (floral crowns).
