Prom court raises money for charity

As the time for the awarding of Prom King and Queen comes around, there are four students running. Each student is raising money for a different foundation.

Darcell Bios is raising money for the San Antonio Aids foundation, Mariana Wong is raising money for U.N.I.C.E.F, Deja Morgan is raising money for San Antonio Aids foundation too,  and Crystal Stolze is raising money for Bantay Bata 163.

“I’ve been wanting to run for Prom King since I was a freshman and the way we have to run gives me even more of a reason to want to run for Prom King,” Said senior Darcell Bios.

The winners for Prom Queen and King will be determined by who raises the most money for their organization.

“I wanted to run for prom queen because my sister ran and I wanted to keep it going, but it was also my own decision to run. I think its something fun to do and to see how it would work out. My charity I plan to donate to would be U.N.I.C.E.F,” Said senior Mariana Wong.

The winners will be announced tomorrow evening. Prom, themed Light Up The Night, will be held at Sunset Station, 1174 East Commerce.
