As volleyball marches toward the end of district play, the girls continue to work to stay healthy and secure the win.

Sophomore Kassandra Garcia has been playing volleyball for about four years, including both of her high school years.

“I do it to stay active and stay in shape also,” Garcia said. Garcia has gotten no injures this season, but other players have gotten minor injuries like a sprained ankle or wrist. Overall they are 2-35 for the season.

“This season has been fought and we haven’t won that many games this season,”says Garcia. But they still keep their heads up high and practice all the time to try to get better and win.

“But it’s good to stay optimistic about it since anything can happen,” Garcia says.

With three games left, the girls keep their optimism against Churchill, MacArthur, and Lee.
