After a 71-63 victory over Lee Monday night, the varsity boys basketball team have earned themselves their first playoff spot in 12 years.
“It feels great to be in the playoffs,” Coach Chris Medina said. “Hard work and sticking to the program pays off in the end.”
Finishing 6-6 in district, the team has been following their coaches’ advice on communication and teamwork. They will play Clemens in the bidistrict matchup Monday at Clemens at 7 p.m.
“It’s a process that our kids have slowly tried to follow and they’re finally seeing the benefits of it,” coach Manny Flores said.
