Patriot preview draws a crowd

Every year the dance teams put on a preview show in the auditorium for the crowd to watch their competition numbers. But that’s not the only reason the audience is cheering so loudly. After the end of the performance, senior boy patriots take on the floor.

The event was held right after senior parent night and many people went from one event to the other.
Not only did the audience enjoy the music and dance moves that make them get on their feet but they also got a kick out of the boys. Many can say it was worth the three dollars they paid.
“Last year patriot preview was good but this year’s patriot preview was amazing, so many people came,” junior, Esmeralda Garcia said.
Senior boy patriots are boys who sign up, learn a dance routine and wear makeup as well as women’s clothes and perform.
“I signed up because watching the senior boy patriots before me always made me laugh and I wanted to do the same for others, that and I lost a bet,” senior, Alejandro Yañez said.
