New to Netflix: Barbershop 2

Last October there were numerous releases on Netflix. One of the new releases is “Barbershop 2:Back in business”, this is a sequel of the 2002 film “Barbershop”.

The main cast of the movie consist of the actors, Ice Cube (Calvin Palmer), Cedric The Entertainer (Eddie), Eve (Terri Jones), Sean Patrick Thomas (Jimmy James), Troy Garity (Isaac Rosenberg), Queen Latifah (Gina Norris), Michael Ealy (Ricky Nash).

Calvin’s barbershop is still in business; the same barbers dealing with the customers discussing day events and their problems, providing free advice for their lives. Just like the first movie the shop is threatened but this time by a new place across the street, Nappy Cutz a franchise which could put Calvin’s shop out of business but there’s an even bigger problem, the Chicago City Council may be tearing down all the little shops. Calvin now has to come up with a plan to keep the shop opened and deal with his day to day issues.

With this three and a half out of five rating given by critics, this movie is pretty entertaining. It lasts about an hour and forty-two minutes. Even though it’s  PG-13 it’s a movie the whole family can enjoy.

Originally this movie was released on January 20, 2004 it was directed by Kevin Rodney Sullivan. It was release on DVD disc and now its released online.
