Seniors to place cap and gown orders

With half of the school year done, and daily reminders for senior dues in the morning announcements, seniors know the end of high school is near. However, seniors are not done spending money just yet.

Before they can make their final walk on the stage on June 4, students must also pay for traditional graduation items such as the cap and gown, graduation announcements, and other senior items.

Graduation only requires a cap and gown which goes for $24.95. On the other hand, seniors are welcome to buy any other items they desire. This includes things such as senior shirts, beanies, water bottles, hoodies, sweatpants and more.

“I know I want to get a senior jersey, so I can have something else from high school other than the cap and gown I bought,” senior Tiffany Perry said.

Orders can be placed starting this Thursday for girls and Friday for guys. These will take place during all lunches from 11:30-2:30 in the cafeteria.

In case students can not attend these dates, a makeup for both guys and girls will be available next Thursday and will follow the same schedule.

“I don’t think it’s necessary to spend the extra money on the other graduation items, but I do know parents enjoy the formality of the announcements,” Senior Class Sponsor Paul Riser said.
