  • Clothes
  • Blankets

Varsity Patriots getting ready to send off backpacks to Houston!

The Roosevelt campus accepted donations to help Houston and surrounding areas, many of which did not start school on time. As part of giving back to their community, the dancers have donated 100 backpacks, with a little special message on them, “We love you from us at TR”, every backpack that was sent off was also giving a very loved and supportive message inside. The girls on both Junior Varsity and Varsity teams wrote words of encouragement, letting the children and their families know that they are not alone while fighting through this difficult time.

“I felt excited because I felt good helping out the kids and their family that suffered from Hurricane Harvey,” Junior Varsity Team member Brianna Solis said.

Dancers said they enjoyed making an impact for so many students.

“I think sending the backpacks to Houston impacted the children and parents lives positively by showing them that we are a helping hand in such a tragic time,” Varsity Patriot Lauren Baker said.
