AVID Sophomores visit A&M-San Antonio

On Tuesday Jan. 30 AVID sophomores went on a field trip to Texas A&M San Antonio. On this visit they were able to get a grasp of the life as a everyday college student. AVID visits colleges because the visits are eye-opening and it makes students start thinking about their future.

It also gives them opportunities to get information,ask questions, and you see the tradition behind the school. Sophomore Jazzmine Garcia-Avila wants to work in the medical field so every time she goes to universities she asks about their medical programs and what they provide and offer.
“It’s about the student life too because it’s so important that you are involved and make friends,” Garcia-Avila said.
Visiting colleges overall is a fun way to choose if you want to attend because each school is unique and they all have different things to offer.
“Any college would be amazing to get accepted in,” Garcia-Avila said.
