“I think the blood drive is important for people who maybe have blood diseases, somebody who can’t produce blood like I can.  I just think it’s good for me who’s healthy and able to give back to people who just can’t,” senior Gracie Hende said.

The blood drive gives people at the school a chance to do good in the community by donating blood that will help save the lives of people in need.  Everyone who participated in the blood drive assisted in saving lives with their donation.

In total, the blood drive worked up 61 units of blood, according to student council sponsor Javier Cavazos.  183 hospital patients will be helped by students’ donations, Cavazos added.
