The Rough Rider battalion’s own Unarmed Drill team; the Riderettes, and Armed team; the San Juan Guard, participated in the Kennedy High School Drill meet on Saturday Oct. 27, as a way to gain experience for higher level competitions.

San Juan Guard’s Junior Varsity Color Guard uncases flags.

The Junior Varsity team placed second in Color Guard and third in Inspection.

“I think the drill meet went really well, overall I think our cadets did really well and looked pretty sharp out there. The regulation portion went pretty well, a few minor mistakes, but nothing that can’t be improved upon.” said the Junior Varsity Commander, Eunice Patton, “Our columns were nice, we didn’t go out of bounds. My first time commanding went pretty well, the junior varsity team is made up of mostly freshmen and they did good.”
