In a team double the size of last school year, 75 percent of swimmers beat a personal best Friday, January 11 at Davis Natatorium.
“It’s been really good; the new freshman swimmers are really good,” freshman Chris Sanchez said. Sanchez beat his 50 free time by a second.
Swimmers ended up beating times on several different levels.

“I would say my 200 free, and I did improve my 100 fly,” junior Fernando Hernandez said.
The team also improved their relationships, since the majority of time spent at a swim meet is on the bleachers, cheering on your teammates and doing the work you missed that day.
“I would say just the people,” Hernandez said, “I don’t know, everybody’s friends, and it’s like a second family actually.”
