Bryan Norwood has returned to Roosevelt as principal. He worked at Roosevelt previously as an assistant principal. In his time away, he worked at North East Alternative Center and Memorial High School. He said he is excited to be returning to a familiar place.

“I’m excited to be able to serve the community here at Roosevelt,” Norwood said.

Norwood, who started his career in NEISD at Krueger Middle School,  plans to refamiliarize himself with the school and community. Things like the garden are new to him, and the school has changed in the last few years.

“My task right now is to continue to learn about the community; a lot has changed since the three years that I left,” Norwood said.

Although the staff has changed and many teachers have come and gone in the last few years, several still remember Norwood from his time as an assistant principal.

“I felt comfortable approaching him and asking him questions,” chemistry teacher Samuel Glass said.
