Boston Marathon Bombing
By: Jenna Kurburski
On April 15, 2013, in Boston Massachusetts, at 2:49 p.m., two pressure bombs went off before the runners even arrived at the finish line; killing three and harming about 264 runners all together. This all happened on Boylston street during the Boston Marathon.
The two men who did this were Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev. Tamerlan ended up committing a triple homicide and was shot dead in a police gun battle after the Boston bombing. Before Tamerlan died, these brothers killed a MIT police officer, carjacked a SUV, and engaged in a shootout in which Tamerlan died. They later found Dzhokhar in a boat unarmed but severely injured. They immediately arrested him and took him to a hospital.
As for now, The victims that were injured are now learning to walk again. Some already are running. This is a true miracle for Boston because you don’t usually see this everyday. I believe that God, the almighty, has put a light in all of them and let them become “Boston Strong” and gave them hope again.
