Greek stories in famous stories

We may not know it ,but Greek and Roman stories are apart of many famous like Romeo and Juliet. The story of Pyramus and Thisbe is a story about two young people whose love was forbidden by their parents. They lived next to each other ,and one day they decided that they would run away together.

They agreed to at a location and run of with each other. A lion had just killed its pray and Thisbe saw. She ran off and accidentally dropped her white scarf.

The lion picked it up in its bloody jaw. Pyramus saw the bloody scarf and killed himself. Thisbe came back and saw him dead so she killed herself.

This same thing happened in romeo and Juliet. This is an example of how Greek stories are part of modern day stories.
