Q-“Do you have any siblings?”

A-“Yes i have four.”

Q-“When you’re not at school what do you like to do?”

A-“I like to read.”

Q-“What’s your favorite sport and why?”

A-“I like football, because my husband watches it.”

Q-“Did you ever want to be other than an English teacher?”

 A-“Yes, at one point i wanted to be a lawyer.”

Q-“Where did you attend college?”

A-“I attended Sul Ross State University.”

Q-“What do you like most about being an English teacher?”

A-“I like to work with the children.”

Q-“What do you think you will be doing in 10 years?”

A-“I think i will be traveling to Dominica.”

 Q-“What do you like to do in the summer months?”

A-“I like to hang out with my granddaughter, swim,swing, dance, and play in water.”

Q-“If i picked up your IPod, what would i find on there?”

A-“You would find Facebook, Skype, Twitter, CNN, NY Times, and Youtube.”

Q-“What is your favorite movie and why?”

A-“Wit, because it is a story of a college english professor who was mean and uncaring. She gets cancer and changes her ways.”

      An interview with Ms Salas (AIM)

1. Do you have any siblings?

“4 Half-Brothers”

2.When youre not at school what do you like to do?
“go to my kids activities , and I have a small buisnuess to run.”
3.What’s your favorite sport and why?
“Snow skiing because its the sport im good at.”
4.Did you ever want to be something other than a reading teacher?
“Be a retail manager.”
5.Where did you attend college?
“Indiana State University, and Texas State.”
6.What do you like most about being a Aim teacher?
“I dont have to do the same thing all day.”
7.What do you think you will be doing in 10 years?
“Still Teaching.”
8.What do you do in the southern months?
“Go to the beach, take care of my kids, and try to read.”
9. If i picked up your ipod what would i find?
“Nothind because I dont have one.”
10. What is your favorite movie and why?
“Finding Nemo Because it tells you to ‘just keep swimming’ never give up and keep trying.”

     Ms. Vargas has been Driscoll’s talented orchestra teacher for 3 years, and her students enjoy her and the strings. Interviewing her was very fun:

 

 

Q: Do you have any siblings?

A: No.

Q: When you are not at school, what do you like to do?

A: Shoe shopping!

Q: What is your favorite sport?

A: I like running.

Q: Did you ever want to do something other than being an orchestra teacher?

A: Yes, I wanted be a veterinarian. It seemed like fun.

Q: Where did you attend college?

A: I went to UTSA.

Q: What do you like most about being an orchestra teacher?

A: I like being able to share the gift of music with students!

Q: What do you think you would be doing in ten years?

A: I would probably still be teaching.

Q: What do you do in the summer months?

A: I do private teaching instruction, go to the dog park with my dogs, and sleep. A lot.

Q: If I picked up your iPod, what would I find there?

A: (Doesn’t have an iPod) I listen to a lot of 80’s music and 105.3.

Q: What is your favorite movie and why?

A: I love The Phantom of the Opera because of the music!
