Kelsey Brown

Hi my name is Kelsey Brown, I am in 8th grade, I like cats.I play volleyball and I write about all our school events in the newspaper. My favorite colors are light blue and hot pink.

On Monday, our Driscoll Choir, Honors Band and Honors Orchestra all played in our Veteran’s Day Tribute. They were fantastic! Our guest speaker gave us a wonderful speech on the theme of “Failure is not an Option” and how it pertains to school and life in general. We were treated by several veterans in attendance and everyone enjoyed the music and pictures of our staff that were veterans.

Thanks to all who attended our celebration!

On Monday October 22, we we started Red Ribbon Week. Red Ribbon Week  is all about the fight against drug abuse and violence. This year our theme was “Elect to be Drug Free!” since it is election year. We had plenty of support from our students and staff.

Veteran’s Day will be recognized on Monday,  November 12th in the main gym.

The Driscoll band, choir, and orchestra will be playing patriotic songs and we will have the presentation of colors. We will also have guest speakers from today’s military and recognize our own Driscoll veterans here on campus. The events will be brought to you by the Driscoll PTA.
