As you may have known, Driscoll hosted the Solo and Ensemble contest last week. Our Driscoll Orchestra was very successful, earning 31 gold medals and 14 silver medals for the solos. We had 20 gold and 12 silver medals for the ensembles. We had multiple Outstanding Performances, including the Large Ensemble of Fiddles and Frolic, Karianne Chupp, and Diego Cruz. Congatulations to all who participated!

Orchestra has had many accomplishments this year.

It started with an awesome Fall concert. In the winter, they had several gigs, including Holiday in the Park, where they took home a superb performance trophy. They also participated in the 22nd Annual Holiday Music Festival at the San Antonio Airport. The Honors Orchestra played at the MacArthur Bar-B-Q dinner.

As you may know, there was an assembly yesterday. A special guest speaker came and talked to us about making the school a better place. We learned about bullying and mistreatment, and how to stop it. Here are some photos of our speaker and the students. It was pretty awesome!

If you want yummy food and good music, you should go to the MacArthur Orchestra Dinner! They will be serving delicious Bar-B-Q, and the Driscoll, Garner, and Bradley Orchestras will be playing! Hope to see you there!
