It’s ALIVE!

Halloween is just around the corner and that means Halloween movies, as well. We asked some students about their plans and about older movies they like.

Manuel Moke of the 8th grade said this. “I’ve already seen ‘Hotel Transylvania’ but yeah it was cool.” Another student has different plans. “I plan to see ‘Trick-or-Treat, and I’m going to see ‘Frankenweenie’,” said Tyrese McGee of the 7th grade. Now everyone likes the classics or should. “I enjoy ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’,” said Jean Pierre Marc Charles of the 8th grade.

It’s going to be a great Halloween with the new movies out. Don’t forget to comment and even share your plans for any Halloween movies you will go see.

Dress Code Jackets

Now that it’s getting chilly, it’s time to pull out our jackets. If you wear a jacket to school then you have to make sure that it’s a uniform jacket. That includes blue, navy blue, royal blue, white, or a Garner hoodie, and if it has a picture on it, it has to be the size of a stamp. If you wear anything besides that then any teacher will make you take it off and put it in your locker until the end of the day.
Cade Sheeren (6th) says, “I don’t like it because we should be able to wear whatever we want.” Ambriance Scott (7th) also agrees with Cade she exclaims, “I don’t like it because some of us can’t afford to buy a jacket and the jackets we have aren’t dress code.”
If you’re wearing a non-dress code jacket you can only wear it before the bell rings, and if you are wearing it during school an administrator will tell you to take it off!

Picture Day

Keyanna Dabney (7) ready for picture day.

Picture day has just occurred and it’s the one day where most students get all dressed up for the day, so their picture looks good for the yearbook. We all want to have a good picture in the yearbook.  A couple of students were interviewed on their thoughts on it.

Madison Garcia (7) was asked if she was excited for picture day. Her response was, “Yes, because we get to wear whatever we want in the picture and no because I’m afraid I’ll look stupid in the picture.”

Jaylene Hernandez (6) was also asked if she was excited for picture day. Her response was, “Sort of because I don’t really like taking pictures and I’m also excited because my picture can be in the yearbook.”

Picture day was so crowded in the gym but, don’t worry if your picture wasn’t taken retakes are coming up soon. We all look forward to seeing your picture in the yearbook.
