RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!

Recently there has been a rise in interest for the game “Fun Run,” a wacky, funny racing game where you play as animals and earn points to buy accessories for said animal. Not only do you race against others but you can obtain abilities throughout the map to stop your rivals in their tracks to ensure your victory.

“I think the game’s fun because you run!” says Simon Cuellar of the 8th grade. Some students just flat out love the game, while others have a little more to say about it.

Matt Sauceda 8 had this to say. “The game play is childish yet amusing as well as aggravating.” So you should try out the game yourself now with this knowledge. You can find this game for the Iphone 5 for free at the apps store on your Iphone.

Let’s Party!

As you all may know Valentine’s Day is coming up and the Student Council members have decided this year that they wanted to do something extraordinary;  they have decided to have a Valentine’s Dance! Some people have just decided to come with friends, but others wanted to bring a date.
The 6th grade dance is at 5 to 6. And the 7th and 8th graders is at 6:30-8:30. For 6th graders it’s a dress code dance, and for 7th and 8th it’s a formal dance. It will be held in the old gym on February 15, for 6th graders it’s $4.00 and for 7th and 8th graders it’s $6.00.  I hope you guys like Candy Land because that is the theme!
When asked if she was going to the dance, Kayla Oviedo (7), she exclaimed, “Yes I am, and I’m going with a bunch of my friends.” Students are anxious to see if the dance is formal or if it’s all dressy. When asked are you bringing a date, Pedro Jusino (7) said, “I’m going to be asking a girl who I think is amazing!” Although Pedro won’t spill the beans of whom this mystery girl is he did add “You will see us at the dance!”
If you’re a person going to the dance it doesn’t matter if you have a date or not, it only matters if you’re having fun with your friends.

The Rodeo is in San Antonio

As you know, the Rodeo is coming to San Antonio on Feb 7-24, 2013 in the AT&T Center. It’s going to be great. There are plenty of fun activities you can do instead of just watching the rodeo. For example there is a petting zoo, pony rides, carnival, and the fair has plenty of fun games for the family.  Also there is an annual Bar-B-Que cook-off where you can go and taste the best barbeque from nearly 300 of the barbequers competing to see who is the best of the best. You can go around and taste every single one of the competitor’s barbeque. It will begin  Saturday at 5:30pm, January 26, 2013 so come on down if you’re hungry for some delicious Bar-B-Que. Joshua Gallegos (8) says he enjoys going to the rodeo.  His favorite things to do were seeing the animals, the kettle corn, and riding the mechanical bull.  Also Isabella Cantu (8) likes the rodeo because she enjoys seeing people fall off the bulls she also wants to ride a bull in the Rodeo one day. Come on down and enjoy the San Antonio annual Rodeo.
