7th Grade Boys First Basketball Game

Finally Basketball season has arrived and I’m here to talk about the first ever 7th grade boys Basketball game of the year.

The first game the boys played was against Harris Middle School.

Sadly Go Team, A Team, and B Team all lost. I have to say the score was pretty good at the beginning of the game but it all went downhill after that.

D’angelo Antonino(7) said, “hopefully next time we can get a win.”

Boys Go Team played at 4:30 p.m., B Team played at 5:30 p.m., and finally A team plays at 6:30 p.m. These times stay the same for every game.

Of course things are not considered a sports game without the snacks, so thank you so much PTA for providing our snacks.

This is a picture of the 7th grade boys first basketball game against Harris.

The next game will be on January 9,2015. Hope to see everyone there.

Jurassic Park

“Jurassic World” is a land lost in time and is a new movie coming from the former great Jurassic Park dynasty.

This new movie includes Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Nick Robinson and more, the movie comes out on June 15, 2015.

Brian Miller (8) says, “I like the movie because of the new technology they are using like the train.”

The new movie consists of a new park or “world” that is open for all to see. The scientists who create the dinosaurs create a new super hybrid that isn’t revealed in the trailer.

D’Aneglo Antonino (7) says, “I really want to see this movie because the graphics and intensity of it all looks awesome.”

Is “Bah-humbug” overrated?

A Christmas Carol is a famous novel about a man named Scrooge who hates Christmas with a passion, but after 3 ghosts set him straighter than parallel lines, he begins to enjoy this holiday.

7th graders had to do a project about this novel. They had 6 choices. The 6 choices will be in the gallery.

Annabel Flores (7), who has Mrs. Summey, said, “I chose the menu, because I like cooking for my family.” She also says,” I think the project should be graded on how much you know, because anybody can really be creative.” Annabel believes she’ll score an 80 or above on her project.

Ana Ripley (7), who has Mrs. Ahr, said she chose the menu because she thought it was the easiest. “I think that it should be based off creativity because you can go big,” she says.

Alexis Rodnite (7), who has Mrs. Summey, is doing the 3D project and said “Creativity is what the project should be based on, because it might be all about the information, but it should be how you present your masterpiece.” Her favorite part of the book is when Jacob Marley’s ghost arrived.

In conclusion, the 7th grade Yearlings are proud to be a part of this project and hope to do well! Good luck Yearlings!
