Dance Club Meets Again

The dance club finally had a second meeting Monday, October 20, 2014. The dance club meets twice a month on Mondays in the choir room. The reason Garner Middle School has a dance club is because Ms. Flemming wants anyone who is interested to learn how to dance to many types of genres. Some of the genres are: Bollywood, hip hop, jazz, and country. The following people are the official members of dance club: Ashley Alverez (6), Makayla Arredondo (6), Caitlyn Auliveld (6), Tera Contreras (6), Addison Thompson (6), Varielica Rhymes (6), Faith Anderson (7), Janelle Bankston (7), Dejahnea Barret (7), Caeley Brown (7), Corbin Cunningham (7), Jennifer Flores (7), Chanel Hanson (7), Jessica Harden (7), Niavaunii Ledezma (7), and Alyce Thinner (7).

On Monday the dance club did four dances, all the same genre, the genre was a hip hop workout mix. Something that stands out is that the majority of the students are extremely flexible. Garner’s Dance Club is a great way to learn different types of dances; while having fun for your friends. Dance club may be small, but the members have fun and that is what matters.

Get ready to see lines overflowing, people buying season passes, and lots of screaming and laughter! Because if you haven’t heard yet but Six Flags Fiesta Texas is coming out with an epic rollercoaster called the Iron Rattler. Are you ready to have some fun this summer? Well, your summer is going to be filled with an overwhelming amount of thrilling fun.

The Iron Rattler consists of:

“A staggering drop of 171 feet with an amazing drop angle of 81 degrees.”

“A blazing top speed of 70 mph.”

A few people were interviewed on what they thought about the new upcoming rollercoaster. Will this rollercoaster be a hit or a dull ride no one wants to ride on?

“I’m counting down the days until the Iron Rattler opens because I know this rollercoaster is going to be AWESOME!” exclaims Jenna Vega (7). She also says, “I’m looking forward to this ride because me and some of my friends are going to ride it this summer.” Also Kayla Oviedo (7) explains that ,“I have a feeling that this is going to be an awesome rollercoaster even though I hardly ride rollercoasters.”

I have a feeling that there will be a lot of screaming and shouting and don’t be surprised if they play the song “Scream and Shout” by Will.I.Am ft. Britney Spears! Hope you have fun!
