Johnson Orchestra returned from Region this weekend with outstanding results. On 1st Violin, Stephanie Lam and Daniel Lujan made the cut to participate in the all-region orchestra.  Alison Tsai, Kyle Hyche, Sam Loyd, and Kara Kopchinski made 2nd Violin, while Lauren Scott, Frank Olumba, Cassidy Kempf, Rachel Thorpe, and Angela Stephens qualified for Viola, with Ashton Williams as 1st alternate. Cellist Courtney Mason also qualified.

In addition to this exceptional group of qualifiers, a student has worked his way into All-State Region orchestra for the first time in Johnson’s history. Justin Eastwood will be representing Johnson on the violin.

“This is a huge accomplishment for orchestra,” conductor Karen George said. “I look forward to more of my students [qualifying] in the future.”
