After a triumphant victory and a score of 9-2, the baseball team is now advancing to play-offs. The team will play its first series on May 5-7; they need to win best 2 out of 3.

“It is official now and we’re all really excited to be part of the first Johnson baseball team to make it to play-offs,” sophomore Mark Whitehead said.

Along with the ecstatic reactions from the boys, baseball coach Gordy Gazelle shares their enthusiasm.

“Our coach was really proud of us for making play-offs,” Whitehead said.

If the boys lose 1 of the games, they have a chance to redeem themselves the other two times. The winning team will continue onto the next round.

“We are all really pumped to be in this position,” Whitehead said. “Hopefully we’ll go all the way to state.”
