Johnson cheerleaders are getting ready for their upcoming competitions later on this November.

“We’re all really excited about to compete in this competition because if we do well this time it will determine whether or not we go to state,” senior Jaselyn Aguilar said.

The cheerleaders will be competing in the regional competition on November 20th in San Marcos at Texas State and the South Texas Regionals.

“The girls have been training really hard. Every week we practice at Champions on Mondays and Wednesdays after school. We practice on campus Tuesdays and Thursdays,” cheerleading Coach McKinley said.

Cheerleaders have been working diligently these past couple of weeks preparing for the rigorous Texas State competition.

“We’ve been doing full out routines since about two weeks ago and I think we’re all really excited to see how everything turns out, We’ve been practicing really hard,” junior Taylor Mosher said.

The girls may have some doubts about their performance, but with their unity and teamwork they will be sure to pull it off.

“I’m also really nervous because not every time will the stunts and everything go perfectly or as planned. We’re staying strong as a team and motivating each other so that we can have a good outcome for our first competition,” Mosher said.
