Since the release of “Skyfall” is this weekend, we decided to count down the top three bond movies of all time.

  1. Dr. No

The Bond movie that started it all. Starring Sean Connery in 1962, centered around special agent 007, finding out the disappearance of a fellow British Intelligence Agent who disappeared while in Jamaica, 007 is sent to go find the man and find out what happened. With a budget of a million dollars, the filmmakers managed to make one of the most memorable Bond’s ever. The movie ended up grossing over 60 million dollars which made it a series that would keep going for decades to come.

  1. Casino Royale (2006)

Not to be confused with the average 1960’s “Casino Royale” starring a never to be seen again Bond. Based after a mission gone wrong, Bond is sent to go in a high stakes poker game with a mad mind criminal.  The movie reinvigorated the Bond franchise, adding more depth of the Bond character and a movie  marking the best Bond to date – Daniel Craig.

  1. Goldfinger

The 1964 classic James Bond starring once again the famous Sean Connery. This one blows all the others out of the water, and is in fact the only Bond to get nominated for an Oscar. So many other Bonds have tried and failed to reach the level this movie brought to it. Every possible Bond reference is in this movie that you have seen in pop culture, like “Austin Powers”, “The Bourne Series,”and of course “Die Hard”. Not one Bond film comes close and all of these movies are worth watching before the highly anticipated “Skyfall.”
