This years’ homecoming takes a trip to Oz

Homecoming this year is going to be on Oct. 12 and tickets will be sold starting Sept. 23, which will be available at the Jag Shack during all three lunches.

“Tickets start at $25, but after Oct. 4, the price is going to go up to $30 and at the door it’s going to be priced at $35,” senior student council officer Bella Clyde said.

The theme this year is ‘There’s no Place Like Johnson,’ which is based off of the Wizard of Oz.

“I think this years’ theme is super cute. With our decorations committee, we’re trying to come up with really creative decorations and I think it’s going to turn out really good,” Clyde said.

Since the dance is still on school grounds, a dress code will be enforced.

“The dress code will probably be released by the principal, but, I think it’s just the typical stuff like not too short, not too low cut. You can’t have a completely open back and stuff like that,” Clyde said.

Homecoming is probably student council’s biggest event of the year, and they have been working on it since the beginning of the school year.

“I love the theme and all of the decorations we’ve made so far, I think homecoming this year is going to be the best one yet,” Clyde said.
