Katie Barton is a senior at Johnson high school and is a Co Editor-In-Chief of MyJagNews. She has been in the journalism program for most of her high school career, and used to be a member of the marching band. But now she just spends her time in remedial band playing clarinet and having fun. She likes to write and hope to become a News writer one day. In her free time, she likes to watch Anime and Grey’s anatomy, and likes to read books of all kinds.
In a usual year, sophomore Carson Pierdolla would spend his Halloween night at his front door passing out candy to kids in colorful costumes. But this year is different because Coronavirus has changed how Halloween will look.
As she leads the woodwind section through a warm-up, Julia Donnel stops conducting and begins to give details and things to focus on for the next exercise. Donnel is Johnson’s new band director who came in after Alan Sharps retired last year.
